Marek Pokorný is an illustrator, comics author and 2D animator currently based in Praha, Czech Republic.

Two comics he drew were published. One won the Czech comics award Muriel (for the best book and art) and got nominated for Czech Grand Design award for illustrations.

Classical hand-drawn 2D animation is what makes his living these day though.

“mára” is a nickname from his early childhood. You read it like “mahra” with a bit more emphasis on ringing the “R” in it.
